Sorry we are now Closed - Self Isolation is required to protect our Staff & Guests

After yesterday’s announcement we are now closed for at least the next 4 weeks. 

We feel it is our responsibility to put the safety and health of our guests and staff first during this unsettling and uncertain time.
If you have a current booking with us for arrival within 4 weeks, we will be in touch with you all shortly via email with all necessary information.
Please refrain from phoning as we are being inundated with calls regarding cancellations and enquiries. Phones will not be manned after today. If you need to contact us please email us at

Updates on COVID-19

We are dealing with quite a few cancellations which is understandable due to the Prime Ministers announcement yesterday. Please be patient with our staff as they are doing the best to cope with the influx of cancellations. We thank our wonderful guests who are respectful and kind to our staff.

We have been processing requested cancellations as follows:

We will hold in account for 12 months any payments paid so you can rebook within the 12 month period from cancellation date, we are asking you to rebook your dates within 3 months from cancellation for anytime within the 12 months from cancellation date.

We are continuing with our extra cleaning as per our previous Facebook status as your health and the health of our staff is paramount.

If you wish to cancel please email and our staff will process as soon as they can.

To Our Lake Taupo Holiday Resort Guests & Community

During this current situation regarding the COVID-19 virus, the safety and well-being of our guests and staff are our highest priority.

We are closely monitoring the situation and are actively following the latest MOH and Government instructions and taking action where necessary.
We want to assure our guests that we are open for business as are all of our amenities.

In addition to our regular cleaning practices and schedules we are taking the following measures:
1) All public areas are being cleaned multiple times per day
2) Our café/bar area is operating, supplying food as usual and is being cleaned multiple times per day
3) Our Reception Office is also being cleaned multiple times per day
4) We encourage those checking in to use cashless transactions
5) Our pools continue to be at safe recommended levels as per commercial guidelines
6) We currently ask all people if they have recently arrived from an international destination and check passports/boarding passes to help aid us and make sure they have self-quarantined as per Government guide lines

At this time, we would like to remind guests that each piece of accommodation is sanitised and has its own entrance and exit to open air.
