Customer Hygiene
To maintain a clean and safe environment, we request your cooperation in observing basic hygiene practices. Before entering the pool, please use the toilet, wash your hands, and take a shower. Remember to wear appropriate swimwear. If there is a faecal incident in the pool, please promptly inform our staff and follow their instructions.
Children
It is important for parents, teachers, and caregivers to closely monitor the children under their care. For children who are 17 years old and younger, they must be actively supervised by a caregiver who is at least 18 years old and able to provide immediate assistance. The caregiver should also be within arm’s reach of the children. Additionally, it is essential to ensure that children are taken to the toilet regularly to prevent accidents in the pool. If a child is wearing a nappy, they must use swimmer nappies, which can be purchased from Reception and the Pool Bar/Cafe. Regular checks should also be made on the nappies. Any child under 18 years of age who is found without supervision will be asked to leave the pool complex. If the child’s parent or caregiver cannot be located, the police may be contacted.
Grotto Cave
It is important for your safety that you do not use the Grotto Cave alone. A minimum of two pool users, with at least one person aged 18 years or older, is required to use the Grotto Cave. Please be aware that the Grotto is four meters deep, and diving off the Cave is strictly prohibited. We want to ensure that everyone can enjoy the facilities safely and responsibly, so please follow these guidelines at all times. Thank you for your cooperation.
Food and Beverages
As the pool complex is a licensed area, we kindly request that you refrain from bringing any food, drinks, water, or water bottles (especially glass) into the pool complex. Free drinking water is available at the Bar, Cafe, and water fountain within the complex. We offer a selection of delicious breakfast, lunch, dinner, local coffee, and beer at our Cafe/Bar. Please refer to the opening hours displayed above. We request that you do not leave the licensed pool area with any drinks and avoid removing our polycarbonate glasses from the pool area. If you choose to take food with you, please ensure that it is in takeaway containers and that no plates or cutlery are to be removed. Thank you for your cooperation.
No Lifeguards
Please be aware that there are no lifeguards on duty at any time. Parents are responsible for their children's safety and supervision at all times while using the pool. Please note that pool attendants are only available on-site during the Christmas/New Year holiday period (late December/early January). If you are not a confident swimmer, we advise you to refrain from diving in or going beyond your depth. You can either walk in from the shallow beach by the top bar or use the steps to enter the pool. It is crucial that all pool users and visitors comply with our acceptable behaviour guidelines and familiarise themselves with the pool rescue and emergency procedures. Let's work together to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
Code of Behaviour
We would like to remind all our guests that their behaviour counts. Our facility is equipped with cameras to monitor pool usage and ensure the safety of guests and their belongings. We kindly request that you respect our staff, other pool users, and our facility and refrain from using inappropriate language. Swimming while under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.
Smoking or vaping is also not allowed anywhere in the pool complex, including the changing facilities and toilets. Please go outside the complex if you need to smoke or vape.
Inappropriate, anti-social, and boisterous behaviour will not be tolerated, and anyone who exhibits such behaviour may be asked to leave the pool complex. We do not allow running around the pools, tag games, pushing, fighting, jumping around the pools, climbing on, or diving in the Grotto Cave.
Before jumping or diving into the pool, please check the depth of the pool and its gradients. Non-swimmers must not go into the pool beyond their depth. Only approved aquatic toys are permitted in the pools, and large pool toys, boogie boards, surfboards, kayaks, or underwater equipment are not allowed. Please do not take approved aquatic toys into the Grotto Cave.
We would also like to remind you that prolonged exposure to the sun can be harmful if you are not protected by sunscreen or protective clothing. Therefore, please remember to apply sunscreen regularly. For your privacy and that of others, mobile phones and cameras are not permitted in the changing rooms. We reserve the right to remove them and place them in a secure location while the owner is using the pool complex. If necessary, we may also contact the police. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our pool complex a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Reporting
If you feel unsafe or witness any suspicious behaviour from another patron, it is important to report it immediately. You can approach the uniformed bar staff, who will take over responsibility and take appropriate action to ensure the safety of all patrons. Your safety and well-being are our top priority, and we appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a safe and friendly environment for everyone.
Pool Rescues and Emergencies
Please follow the emergency procedures displayed around the pool complex. Emergency equipment is located around the pool, with a Life ring by the Toilet Building and a Reach Pole by the Big Screen. First aid kits are located in the Bar/Café or Reception. If there is an accident or emergency, assess the situation. Give immediate assistance, but only if required urgently.
